MARCH 2016
We are 3 months into this year already and spending some great time with the Cali kids and gc's . Really nice being close to them and visit when the need arises. We have a nice little place to stay only 5 miles from the house. Having our home on wheels really has some fab perks. Brooke and Jordan have been alot of fun to be with. JM and Cindy have been very accommodating with both their time and with the kiddies. Really starting to enjoy the nomad lifestyle after the first few months of this year and Joanee dealing with the sadness in Florida. Right now in beautiful Palm Desert for a few weeks to rest until we head northwest to Laguna Beach and Long Beach to visit some long time friends.
So it's Wednesday and we are on a day trip through the Joshua Tree National Forest park. A lot of camping areas but no place to bring a 40 foot motorhome. Hugh boulders and rock formations, (see pics) are where most of the camping sites are set up. Alot of young couples in tents. Jayme and family would love the rustic feel of the area. We are currently at 5000ft and 68 degrees while 84 in the desert. This national forest has, as one would imagine, thousands of Joshua trees and yucca plants all in bloom. Even CeCe is enjoying the scenery.
Finishing up a couple of weeks in Palm Desert and headed out tomorrow to Wilderness Lakes Campground again in Menifee CA. Left 90°temps to really comfortable 60's and 70's. 40 sleeping weather; great. Planning on some visit time to the coast to see Phyllis (Wallace) & Jesse Metzger, Artie & Eileen Hirsch in Laguna and Vinny and Sarah Olivieri in Irvin. Then up to Simi for a last visit with kiddies before heading back east the beginning of May. Will keep those interested posted as we move along.
