JANUARY 2016

Well it's a new year and we had a rough drive cross country through the Goliath storm with tons of snow ice and freezing rain. Our slides on the RV would not open for a couple of days due to sub freezing temperatures.  The roads in Texas are the worst I've ever seen in any type of snow situation. They must save a lot of money because they certainly don't use it on plowing and cleanup. 6 days to come cross country from Florida and two of those were the worst driving conditions I've encountered yet in the RV. We are now in Pahrump visiting friends finishing final details of our 10 years spent here closing accounts and selling our car and trailer while still having to go through whatever we left from our 4000 square foot house. Joanee headed back down to Florida to spend whatever time left with her sister in her final days. Our vagabond lifestyle has given us the ability to arrange our days the way we see fit and afforded Joanee the best possible scenario in spending time, quality time, with her sister.   Heading out the 29th to Southern Cal to watch my little baby in soccer in goal tearing up the soccer world.

Well it's over Carol,  Joanee's sister has passed away from her cancer. Joanee is still in Florida and will be back the middle of next week. I'm in Apple Valley California waiting for my son and granddaughter to come for tomorrow's soccer game.  This has been a relatively tough month for Joanee.   With February right around the corner it's time to start our winter fresh and make plans for me to get back to Boston to MGH and take care of my personal stuff. We plan on staying in SoCal for a couple of months and depending on the climate head back to the east coast via the northern route through Wyoming, South Dakota etc given the weather is allowable or our option for the southern route is less appealing although doable. Hope you enjoy this month's blog to be continued.
